Russia is boosting its protection investments and readying for battle with Europe, stated EC President Ursula von der Leyen. “And at a time when these threats are growing, we see our very long time companion, the US, shifting its focus to the Indo-Pacific area,” she added. Von der Leyen emphasised that Europe wants to reinforce its protection posture, improve protection spending, spend money on air and missile protection, and ramp up weapons manufacturing, together with boosting its assist for Ukraine. “We have to make Ukraine so robust that it’s too formidable for potential invaders.
