The Kremlin has mentioned that Russian President Vladimir Putin didn’t order the extension of the so-called Easter truce, which Russians didn’t observe, after midnight on 21 April.

Particulars: Peskov said that Putin didn’t give a command to increase the "Easter truce".
Background:
- On Saturday 19 April, Russian chief Vladimir Putin introduced an Easter truce, which supposedly means a halt to all hostilities in Ukraine from the night of 19 April till midnight on 20 April. In the meantime, Russia’s Ministry of Defence said that Russian forces would uphold the truce provided that Ukraine does the identical.
- Zelenskyy said that Ukraine would reply in form to any Russian ceasefire, however Russian assaults and artillery exercise have been persevering with on some fronts.
- Most Ukrainian defenders haven’t witnessed the so-called "Easter truce" promised by Russian forces, in line with information from DeepState, a Ukrainian group of navy analysts.
- Zelenskyy mentioned that there was a rise in Russian assaults and the usage of kamikaze drones within the fight zone since 10:00 on 20 April. Russian forces have doubled its use of FPV drones.
- Ukraine's Normal Workers reported that as of 16:00 on 20 April, regardless of Russia’s declared "Easter truce", 45 fight clashes have already occurred alongside the entrance line, with 20 of them on the Pokrovsk entrance alone.
