HOUSTON (AP) Jack McGlynn scored on a penalty kick in first-half stoppage time towards his former membership and the Houston Dynamo performed the Philadelphia Union to a 1-1 draw on Saturday evening.
The penalty kick was awarded after McGlynns free kick was blocked by Jesús Buenos arm. McGlynns stutter step despatched goalkeeper Andrew Rick diving to his proper for a shot into the left facet of the online.
Alejandro Bedoya scored his first objective of the season within the fifteenth minute for Philadelphia.
Houston (7-11-6) bounced again after a 3-0 house loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday. The Dynamo maintain a 5-3-1 house report versus the Union.
Philadelphia (14-5-5) entered atop the Jap Convention standings with 46 factors. The Union have two wins, three losses and a tie of their final six matches.
It was McGlynns first matchup versus his former facet after Philadelphia traded him to Houston in a cash-for-player commerce forward of the 2025 season. McGlynn made his MLS debut in 2021 and his U.S. nationwide crew debut in January 2024. He was a part of final years U.S. Olympic crew.
