Guillermo del Toro would slightly be a part of the undead than use generative AI, though he did discover inspiration for Frankenstein in a few of its largest champions.
The Form of Water director would "slightly die" than use generative AI in his films, del Toro stated in an interview with NPR's Fresh Air podcast. When requested if he used any of the expertise in Frankenstein, he stated he didn't think about it.
"AI, notably generative AI, I’m not , nor will I ever have an interest," he informed Contemporary Air. "I'm 61, and I hope to have the ability to stay bored with utilizing it in any respect till I croak."

Whereas he isn’t keen on the tech himself, del Toro did see the similarities between AI and the story of his protagonist Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac).
"My concern isn’t synthetic intelligence, however pure stupidity," the Pan's Labyrinth director stated. "I believe that's what drives a lot of the world's worst academics. However I did wish to have the vanity of Victor be comparable in some methods to the tech bros, you realize? He's form of blind, creating one thing with out contemplating the results, you realize?
