Explosions have broken the Mersin, an oil tanker linked to Russia, off the coast of Senegal in West Africa.

Particulars: That is the third incident in every week involving tankers transporting Russian oil merchandise.
Besiktas Transport stated seawater entered the Mersin's engine room on account of explosions and a breach within the hull.
The tanker's crew are protected and there was no environmental air pollution. The vessel stays protected and secure.
Besiktas stated it was supporting an investigation into the reason for the explosions and dealing with insurers and the Senegalese authorities to take care of the aftermath of the incident.
Transport analytics agency Kpler reported that the vessel was carrying gasoil – a mix of liquid hydrocarbons produced from oil refining – and has known as at Russian ports a number of instances this 12 months.
