Trump expressed that he was “very upset” about Putin’s latest remarks suggesting strategies to ascertain new management in Ukraine and sideline President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, NBC reported, citing a telephone interview with Trump on Sunday. New management in Ukraine implies “you’re not going to have a deal for a very long time, proper,” he acknowledged.
“I used to be upset about it. But when a deal isn’t made, and if I imagine it was Russia’s fault, I’m going to impose secondary sanctions on Russia,” Trump instructed NBC, indicating he meant “all oil popping out of Russia.”
He talked about plans to talk to Putin this week. Trump added that if he can’t make “a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I imagine it was Russia’s fault – which it may not be – but when I imagine it was Russia’s fault, I’m going to impose secondary tariffs on oil.”
