Reba McEntire posts heartfelt tribute to her late former stepson, Brandon Blackstock

Reba McEntire is remembering her stepson, Brandon Blackstock, with variety phrases in a public tribute.

"Final week, my stepson/oldest son Brandon Blackstock went residence to be with God," the nation music star wrote Tuesday on social media. "His battle is over and he’s in everlasting peace in God's presence. There is no such thing as a one else like him, and I'm grateful for the time we had collectively. His legacy and laughter will likely be carried on by his household."

She added, "Relaxation in peace cowboy. Glad trails to you til we meet once more."

Blackstock, the previous supervisor and husband of Kelly Clarkson, died Aug. 7 from pores and skin most cancers. His survivors embody their two youngsters: daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remy Alexander, 9.

McEntire was married to Blackstock's father, Narvel, from 1989 to 2015. Along with Brandon, she was a stepmother to Narvel's two daughters by the union.

The Grammy winner's phrases have been supported by the likes of Wynonna Judd, who wrote merely, "Love you, buddy," and John Legend, who's coached alongside McEntire on NBC's singing competitors The Voice. He left a number of praying emojis.

Kristin Chenoweth commented, "Sending like to you and the household."

McEntire had beforehand solely spoken out in a brief remark left on a submit that Shelby Blackstock, her solely son, made about Brandon.

Shelby wrote that Brandon was "an irreplaceable a part of our household — humorous, vivid, and vigorous — and he will likely be deeply missed."

McEntire had commented, "Very effectively mentioned Shelby. Sure we are going to miss him a lot."

Blackstock's household confirmed his loss of life to Leisure Weekly with a press release: "It’s with nice disappointment that we share the information that Brandon Blackstock has handed away. Brandon bravely battled most cancers for greater than three years. He handed away peacefully and was surrounded by household. We thanks on your ideas and prayers and ask everybody to respect the household's privateness throughout this very troublesome time."
