    Boston Dynamics has introduced a new robot with an autonomous system for sorting car engine parts. The robot is able to detect changes in the environment and adapt to them using sensors.

    In , Boston Dynamics emphasized that the robot's actions are performed autonomously, without "predefined or remotely controlled movements.

    The robot is able to detect and react to changes in the environment (e.g., moving devices) and failures in action (e.g., failure to insert a lid, stumbling, collision with the environment) using a combination of vision, force, and proprioception sensors

    – the company noted.

    In addition to autonomously performing tasks, the video demonstrates impressive adaptive – and powerful – drives as the robot turns at the waist.
