Two services will be temporarily unavailable in Diia for three days

From December 13 to December 16, Diya will temporarily suspend its residence declaration services due to the upgrade of the SMS data center. The service is scheduled to resume on December 16 at 18:00.

From December 13 to December 16, the services for declaring the place of residence and obtaining an extract of the declared place of residence will not work in the application and on the Diia portal. This is reported by the press service of Diia, according to UNN.

“Starting December 13, two services on the portal and in the Diia app will not work: declaring a place of residence and obtaining an extract of the declared place of residence. Also, information about the declared place of residence will be temporarily unavailable when sharing passports and residence permits through Diia,” Diia said.

The reason for the service outage is that the State Migration Service is updating the data center.

“On such days, access to the SMS data is restricted so as not to damage or lose it during the changes. We remind you that Diia does not store data, but only displays it from electronic registers and systems. Therefore, while the data center is unavailable, the services related to it will temporarily be unavailable. We plan to resume services on Monday, December 16, at 18:00,” Diia added.

    Recall

The Cabinet of Ministers is launching a pilot project that will allow current and former military personnel and their families to receive a number of services through Diia. In particular, they will be able to apply for the status of a person with a disability due to war, financial assistance, etc.

Apple integrates ChatGPT into its devices: what will change for users

Apple has started integrating OpenAI's ChatGPT into its devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The new feature will allow Siri to use chatbot capabilities to work with photos, documents, and create content.

Apple on Wednesday began integrating OpenAI's ChatGPT into its devices, providing a long-awaited feature that investors hope will help boost sales of its latest iPhones, Reuters reports, UNN writes.

    Details

The move is part of a broader rollout of AI-based tools in the latest operating system updates for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

The ChatGPT integration, announced in June as part of Apple's Intelligence presentation, will allow the company's Siri voice assistant to use the chatbot's expertise, including in user requests for photos and documents such as presentations.

Users can also ask ChatGPT to create written content in any program that supports the new Writing Tools feature. They can use the chatbot's image creation capabilities to add images.

The move came at the peak of the holiday shopping season, the company's most profitable sales period of the year. The slow rollout of Apple Intelligence features has so far caused some investors to worry about the strength of the iPhone 16 sales cycle.

The AI features will be available on the latest iPhone series, as well as on the Pro and Pro Max versions of the previous iPhone 15 line. Users of iPads with A17 Pro or M1 chips and later, as well as Macs with M1 chips and later, will also be able to access the tools.

The Ministry of Defense reported a significant increase in the number of drones in the Armed Forces and plans for further purchases. 30,000 new DeepStrikes have been contracted, and more than UAH 87 billion has been allocated for the purchase of UAVs this year.

The number of UAV crews in Ukraine's army has increased 7-fold in a year. The Defense Minister discussed the supply of drones. This was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, reports UNN.

"I held a working meeting with representatives of the Armed Forces, the State Special Communications Service and the Ministry of Defense. We analyzed in detail the data for each military unit: how many drones are already in use, how many are in storage, and how many have been lost," Umerov wrote.

According to him, based on these requests, the Ministry of Defense determines the needs of military units and coordinates the activities of the State Special Communications Service, which ensures the conclusion of contracts and the supply of drones to the army.

The minister noted that in 2024, the army has already received a significant number of drones – bombers, scouts, FPV and other types of UAVs. This work is ongoing, even in the face of market changes.

"During the meeting, we also discussed plans for December and the first quarter of 2025, including the supply of night drones and new DeepStrike drones capable of hitting targets far behind enemy lines. Almost 30 thousand of these drones have already been contracted. Thanks to systematic work, the number of UAV crews in the army has increased 7 times over the year, and we see how rapidly the role of drones in modern warfare is growing," Umerov said.

He emphasized that supplying the brigades with drones is a priority for the Ministry of Defense, and the ministry's team is making every effort to ensure that these supplies remain uninterrupted.
