Former Iranian president reported killed in US and Israeli assault

Former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is reported to have been killed in a US-Israeli assault on Iran.

Particulars: ILNA claims that Ahmadinejad died in a strike on Tehran's Narmak district, the place his residence stood, and that he was killed alongside his bodyguards.

As but there was no official affirmation of his dying.

Ahmadinejad served as Iran's president from 2005 to 2013. Earlier than being elected president, he was a governor of two provinces and later mayor of Iran's capital, Tehran.

After Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ahmadinejad posted in help of Ukraine on social media, describing the invasion as a "satanic struggle".
