Spain's Nationwide Police have introduced that a person has been detained in Germany on suspicion of murdering Andrii Portnov, a pro-Russian politician and former deputy head of the Ukrainian President's Workplace, in Could 2025.

Particulars: Brokers from the fifth Murder Investigation Unit of the Madrid Police Headquarters travelled to a German metropolis, the place they arrested the suspect. They had been working in cooperation with a particular operations unit from Germany's Federal Legal Police Workplace.
The investigators consider the detainee is the person who shot Andrii Portnov.
A European arrest warrant has been issued, together with a European investigation order authorising a search of the suspect's residence.
