The EU expects to switch the primary tranche of assist from a €90 billion mortgage to Ukraine by early April 2026.

Particulars: Dombrovskis reported on a dialog with Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko and Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov concerning progress on the mortgage for Ukraine.
"We're working in the direction of approval of a €90bn bundle for 2026–27, aiming for the primary EU disbursement in early April," Dombrovskis mentioned.
Background: On 21 January, the European Parliament authorised a proposal for a Council of the EU determination permitting the creation of a Mortgage for Ukraine value €90 billion for 2026-2027.
