Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 50 Shahed loitering munitions and decoy drones on the night time of 16-17 January 2025. Ukrainian air defence items have destroyed 33 Russian drones in an anti-aircraft operation.

Particulars: Russian drones reportedly struck enterprise premises in Odesa Oblast, whereas buildings belonging to establishments, companies and households in Kharkiv, Cherkasy and Kyiv oblasts sustained injury from wreckage from downed Russian UAVs.
9 Russian decoy drones disappeared from radar (inflicting no opposed results) and one other UAV left Ukrainian airspace within the route of Romania.
