The Russian forces launched strike drones in direction of Ukraine on the night of 20 February, with explosions reported within the metropolis of Kyiv.

Particulars: At 21:49, the army reported a UAV passing the town of Brovary and heading in direction of Kyiv.
Shortly afterwards, Klitschko confirmed that air defence was responding within the capital, as a number of drones have been approaching the town. He urged residents to remain in shelters.
At 22:19, the mayor specified that air defence techniques have been engaged over the Obolonskyi district.
