
U.S. actor and movie director Sean Penn met with the troopers of the third Regiment of the Particular Operations Forces stationed in Kropyvnytskyi in Kirovohrad Oblast, in line with a video posted on the unit's Fb on April 22.
The actor visited Ukraine for the fourth time throughout Russia's full-scale invasion.
"Regardless of a number of what the politicians are doing, I consider in all of you, and I'm grateful to all of you for being the easiest of what all of us aspire to be," Penn stated.
"You're not solely defending your nation, you're actually defending the world, and that will likely be identified, you see, and I do know you'll prevail, and God bless all of you and your households. Thanks," he added.
On Feb. 24, 2023, Penn introduced his documentary "Superpower," filmed in Kyiv, with President Volodymyr Zelensky's participation on the Berlin Movie Pageant.
Penn's charitable group, Core Response, financially assisted Ukrainian refugees.
The Ukrainian authorities awarded Penn the Order of Advantage, third diploma, for his contribution to supporting Ukraine in 2022.
Penn received the 2004 Academy Award for his function in "Mystic River" and the 2009 Academy Award for his function in "Milk."
