SAN DIEGO (AP) San Francisco Giants right-hander Landen Roupp was carted off the sector after he was hit by a line drive by Ramón Laureano of the San Diego Padres within the third inning Wednesday evening.

Roupp was hit on the again of his proper thigh and the impression spun him half means round. His left knee then buckled and he went all the way down to the bottom face-first. He sat up and was holding his left knee as he was checked by a coach earlier than being loaded onto a cart.

Joey Lucchesi changed Roupp and allowed a three-run homer by Gavin Sheets that gave the Padres a 6-0 lead.
