    Biden administration to announce its final $1.2 billion Ukraine aid package under USAI, Reuters reports

    The Biden administration is planning to announce within the coming days its closing assist package deal underneath the Ukraine Safety Help Initiative (USAI) price round $1.2 billion, Reuters reported on Dec. 20, citing unnamed sources.

    The U.S. offered greater than $60 billion in army assist to Ukraine underneath the Biden administration. The USAI is a Pentagon-led program that provides arms to Ukraine by contracts with U.S. protection firms.

    The package deal is anticipated to incorporate air protection interceptors and artillery ammunition, one of many sources instructed Reuters.

    Individually, the U.S. can be offering help to Kyiv by the presidential drawdown authority (PDA), underneath which Washington provides Ukraine with army tools from current U.S. army stockpiles.

    It’s not instantly clear whether or not the Biden administration plans to announce additional assist packages underneath the PDA.
