MyHeritage will stop operations in Russia and delete all person information, together with DNA exams, by February 1, 2025. The choice was made on account of native laws after a positive of 1.5 million rubles.
MyHeritage, the world's largest family tree service, has introduced that it’s shutting down its operations in Russia, and that Russians' accounts, together with DNA exams, shall be deleted from February 1, 2025. Customers of the service obtained a corresponding message, UNN writes with regards to Radio Liberty.

MyHeritage justified its resolution by saying that it was pressured to droop its companies on account of native laws. Russian account holders had been suggested to export their information earlier than it was deleted.
In January 2022, MyHeritage was fined one and a half million rubles for refusing to retailer information on Russians in Russia.
