French Protection Minister Sebastien Lecornu acknowledged: “We’re going to begin a completely unprecedented partnership through which a big firm that produces French vehicles will be part of forces with French small and medium-sized protection companies to equip manufacturing traces in Ukraine to fabricate drones.”
He added that the drones can be meant for each the Ukrainian and French militaries. Concurrently, Kyiv will present Paris with suggestions on the drone’s utilization by Ukrainian forces in fight, the minister talked about.
Lecornu acknowledged that the Ukrainians excel in growing drones and, notably, doctrine for them, and that France is striving to meet up with Ukraine on this area.
A Renault spokesperson acknowledged that the carmaker was approached by the French protection ministry. Though discussions have occurred, no determination has been made presently, as the corporate is awaiting additional data from the ministry, the spokesperson added. Renault exited the Russian market following Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The French protection ministry declined to touch upon its discussions with Renault.
