The European Fee is engaged on a plan to take away all Russian fossil fuels from the EU market, EC spokeswoman Anna-Kaisa Itkonen mentioned in Brussels on January 20. She added that the EU has lower all Russian coal imports, most Russian oil imports, and over 66% of Russian fuel.
“Regardless of these vital outcomes, Russian fuel continues to be current within the EU market. And that is one thing we don’t wish to see, and this is among the points that shall be addressed on this roadmap, which shall be introduced within the coming weeks,” Itkonen added.
Following his inauguration, US President Donald Trump instructed that Europe change Russian hydrocarbons with American imports, repeating his name for the EU to purchase extra American oil and fuel if the bloc needs to keep away from new tariffs. Trump seeks to spice up the US power sector by lifting bans on creating offshore oil and fuel fields and launching new LNG vegetation.
