Gilbert famous that her mom dressed her in easy clothes — "overalls and a flannel shirt and tennis footwear, and no matter dust was on my face" — together with her hair in easy pigtails.

"The primary audition was a room full of women with their mothers primping, and making barrel curls on their fingers and straightening their pinafores" she defined. "And I got here in all raggedy and soiled and messy. It labored."

Gilbert mentioned that she knew the half can be "one of the best journey ever," however the way in which she realized she had it was a bit shocking.
