NEW ORLEANS (AP) Tulane energy ahead Gregg Glenn III, a starter all through final season after having transferred from Michigan in 2023, has died unexpectedly.

Glenn, 22, of Pompano Seaside, Florida, died in a tragic accident this weekend, Tulane vice chairman of pupil affairs Sarah Cunningham wrote in a letter to the Tulane neighborhood on Monday.

Glenn “was a gifted student-athlete who enriched our lives along with his spirit, dedication and fervour for each sports activities and teachers, Cunninghams letter said. Gregg was an excellent athlete on our mens basketball crew and a person who introduced pleasure and light-weight to these round him. … Allow us to bear in mind Gregg not only for his achievements in sports activities, however for the kindness and heat he shared with everybody.

The 6-foot-7 Glenn transferred from Michigan after taking part in 4 video games for the Wolverines as a freshman.

As a junior final season, he began all 34 video games for the Inexperienced Wave, averaging 10.6 factors and 5.3 rebounds. He was on observe to return to Tulane for his senior season.
