JACKSON, Miss. –Vince Whaley stepped into the water to play a shot and a 6-foot alligator was watching carefully. He nonetheless turned his again on the gator and saved par.
Whaley figures the alligator was about 20 toes away within the water when he performed his shot from the financial institution on the par-5 eleventh gap Sunday within the Sanderson Farms Championship.
