Japanese company has created a “washing machine” for washing people

Science has developed a booth with a chair that fills with water and measures a person's biometric parameters. The Mirai Ningen Sentakuki device will be presented at an exhibition in Osaka, where visitors will be able to test it.

A Japanese company called Science has developed a device shaped like a cabin that fills with water when a person sits in a chair in its center. The device also measures heart rate and other biological data using sensors to ensure the right temperature. UNN reports this with reference to Techcrunch.

The device, dubbed “Mirai Ningen Sentakuki” (human washing machine of the future), may never go on sale, Techcrunch notes. So far, the company's plans are limited to an exhibition in Osaka in April this year, where up to eight people will be able to experience a 15-minute “wash and dry” every day after booking in advance.

However, a version for home use is reportedly under development.

Currently, the company “projects images on the inside of a transparent lid to help people feel fresh,” the publication reports.
