    According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was recorded about 40 km south of the town of Bartolome Maso.

    The tremors were felt throughout the eastern part of Cuba, including in major cities such as Santiago de Cuba.

    There were no reports of damage or injuries.
