A number of explosions rocked Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast on the night time of 28-29 January, with Russian authorities saying they have been attributable to a drone assault on an oil refinery within the city of Kstovo.

Particulars: As is usually the case when Ukrainian drones strike Russia, Nikitin claimed that "solely wreckage from a downed drone had fallen on the territory of a facility within the Kstovo industrial zone" and {that a} "hearth" had damaged out consequently.

The drone assault was one more try to strike a strategic Russian industrial facility. The plant had been focused in March 2024 when UAVs broken certainly one of its oil refining models.
