    European Bank approves over €1.3 billion in investments for Ukraine

    The Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved investments in Ukraine amounting to over €1.3 billion.

    Details: The funding will support eight projects aimed at bolstering both the public and private sectors.

    Quote: "This includes projects in the recovery of transport and energy infrastructure, support for government programmes on the development of distributed generation, and enhancement of energy efficiency."

    He also noted that part of the funding will be allocated as non-repayable grants.

    Background: Ukraine has previously received US$4.8 billion from the World Bank under the PEACE project.
