The ambassadors of the Group of Seven (G7) international locations to Ukraine have commented on the scenario surrounding Ukraine’s Defence Procurement Company (DPA) following Defence Minister Rustem Umierov’s resolution to not lengthen the contract of its head, Maryna Bezrukova.

Particulars: The Western diplomats stated they suggest "that the scenario within the DPA be resolved expeditiously and concentrate on retaining defence procurement going".
Background:
- Defence Minister Rustem Umierov stated on 24 January that the ministry wouldn’t be extending the contract with the top of the DPA, Maryna Bezrukova, as a result of Ukraine’s arms procurement had "was an Amazon" beneath her management.
- Arsen Zhumadilov, head of the Ukrainian State Logistics Operator, who has been appointed because the DPA’s new head by the Defence Ministry, stated he had agreed to move up the DPA "at this tough time".
- In the meantime, Bezrukova introduced that she would proceed to carry out her duties, and the DPA stated it will proceed to work beneath her management, "as a result of the fitting to increase or terminate a director’s present contract is vested completely within the Supervisory Board".
