Particulars: At 18:56 on 5 January, Sumy Oblast Army Administration reported that Russian forces used Shahed assault drones to strike Sumy hromada's infrastructure.

Based on early studies, there have been no casualties attributable to the assault. The aftermath of the assault is being assessed.

Earlier, at 17:46, an air-raid warning was issued in Sumy Oblast because of the Russian drone assault.
