Russia's Defence Ministry has claimed that Ukrainian drones attacked Russia on the night of 1 January, inflicting a brief suspension of flights at Kaluga, Penza, Saransk and Saratov airports.

Particulars: In keeping with the Russian Ministry of Defence, Russian air defence models destroyed 19 Ukrainian drones between 17:30 and 20:00, Moscow time: ten UAVs over the territory of Belgorod Oblast, three over the territory of Kursk Oblast and two every over Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov oblasts.
Rosaviatsiya reported that momentary restrictions have been imposed within the night on the airports of Kaluga, Penza, Saransk, and Saratov for safety causes. The airports are quickly not accepting or dispatching flights.
In keeping with Russian Telegram channels, the restrictions on the airports had been launched as a result of a drone assault.
