    Ukraine’s deputy PM for European integration defends controversial crackdown on anti-corruption our bodies

    Ukraine’s newly-appointed Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Taras Kachka has sought to reassure the European Union throughout a name with European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, arguing that regulation No. 12414, handed by the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament), poses no menace to the independence of anti-corruption our bodies and aligns with Ukraine’s EU obligations.

    Particulars: Kachka revealed he held a phone dialog with Marta Kos amid an uproar over the Verkhovna Rada’s adoption of a contentious regulation in regards to the Nationwide Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Workplace (SAPO). The official firmly asserted that Ukraine stays steadfast in upholding the rule of regulation and anti-corruption reforms.
