Ukraine’s Safety Service naval drones hit Russian shadow fleet tanker in Black Sea – video

The Sea Child naval drones of the Safety Service of Ukraine (SSU) have struck the Russian shadow fleet tanker Dashan within the Black Sea.

Particulars: In line with the sources, on 10 December SSU Sea Child naval drones struck the oil tanker Dashan within the Black Sea; the vessel belongs to the Russian shadow fleet.

The ship, crusing beneath the flag of the Comoros, was shifting at full pace in Ukraine's unique financial zone in the direction of the Novorossiysk port terminal with its transponder switched off.

Quote: "On account of the assault, the tanker sustained essential harm. The video exhibits highly effective explosions within the stern space. In line with preliminary data, the vessel has been put out of motion."

Extra particulars: It was specified that this was a joint operation by the thirteenth Fundamental Directorate of Navy Counterintelligence of the SSU and the Ukrainian Navy.

In line with the sources, the approximate worth of such a tanker is US$30 million, and it was able to carrying about US$60 million value of oil merchandise on a single voyage.

The Dashan had been sanctioned by the EU, the UK, Canada, Australia and Switzerland for transporting Russian uncooked supplies and high-risk navigation (with the identification system switched off).

A well-informed SSU supply stated that that is the third tanker from the shadow fleet that has been put out of motion after serving to the Kremlin to bypass worldwide sanctions.

Background: On 29 November, Ukrainian Sea Child maritime drones struck two sanctioned oil tankers, Kairo and Virat, within the Black Sea.
