Ukrainian forces repelled a large-scale mechanised assault by Russian forces on the Orikhiv entrance on 20 October.

Quote: "Russian troops carried out a failed assault on Ukrainian positions on the Orikhiv entrance round 14:00 on 20 October 2025. The advance was performed alongside two fundamental routes: in the direction of the village of Mala Tokmachka (models from the 71st Motor Rifle Regiment of the forty second Guards Evpatoria Motor Rifle Division, forces as much as two corporations with armoured autos) and in the direction of Novoandriivka (the 503rd Guards Motor Rifle Regiment of the nineteenth Motor Rifle Division).

In whole, aerial reconnaissance recorded the motion of 11 armoured fight autos, 1 tank, 10 bikes and as much as 120 Russian infantry inside the space of accountability of the sixty fifth Velykyi Luh Mechanised Brigade."

Particulars: Ukrainian defenders reportedly destroyed or broken a major a part of Russian tools. "Particularly, six armoured fight autos and eight bikes have been destroyed, and one other 5 armoured fight autos and one tank have been broken on the Novoandriivka entrance," the navy stated.
