Commander of the Ukrainian Floor Forces Mykhailo Drapatyi has introduced that he’ll stay in service regardless of submitting a resignation request on 1 June 2025 following a Russian missile strike on a coaching floor.

I reported all recognized particulars of the coaching floor tragedy – every step, who was current, who was answerable for the personnel, and who ought to have acted. I defined my causes for resigning. The President listened, supported me, and urged me to deal with the warfare, the entrance and victory."
Drapatyi added that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has assigned him a brand new process. "I stay in service, on the entrance line, the place I belong and might contribute most," he wrote.
Sources instructed Ukrainska Pravda that Drapatyi will lead the Command of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

- On 1 June, Russia launched a missile strike on a coaching unit of Ukraine’s Floor Forces. At the least 12 troopers are recognized to have been killed and over 60 injured.
