President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has pledged to submit a draft legislation to the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) that can "empower the legislation enforcement system" and protect "all provisions crucial for the independence of anti-corruption establishments".

And I strongly anticipate from our group of legislation enforcement and anti-corruption leaders, from the Prosecutor Normal of Ukraine, proposals for the provisions that have to be applied. This can be a presidential draft legislation and we’ll carry it out as a part of our technique for reworking the state."

Particulars: Zelenskyy mentioned that in a latest assembly with the heads of legislation enforcement and anti-corruption our bodies, it was agreed that the heads of the establishments would collectively suggest a plan of motion and concrete steps to "strengthen the rule of legislation in Ukraine".

• On 21 July, workers of the Safety Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor Normal's Workplace carried out roughly 80 searches focusing on 19 workers of the Nationwide Anti-Corruption Bureau in numerous oblasts of Ukraine.
• On 22 July, the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) voted for draft legislation No. 12414 that may make the Nationwide Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Workplace (SAPO) – presently unbiased anti-corruption establishments – depending on the selections of the prosecutor normal.
• On the night of twenty-two July, Zelenskyy signed invoice No. 12414.
• Protests have been held in lots of cities throughout Ukraine following the adoption of this legislative initiative.
