    Radio engineering troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine identified more than 345 thousand enemy targets, including 175 thousand aircraft and 100 thousand helicopters. The military monitors the airspace around the clock, without hiding in cover during attacks.

    Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, radio engineering troops of the AFU Air Forces have recorded almost a million Russian air targets. This is reported by the Air Force, Reports UNN.

This branch of the Armed Forces is called the eyes of the Air Force. Around the clock, RTV personnel detect and escort hundreds of enemy aircraft, helicopters, drones, bombs and enemy missiles

    It is noted that since the beginning of the war with Russia, radio engineering troops have identified and escorted more than 345 thousand enemy targets: 175 thousand aircraft, 100 thousand helicopters, 57 thousand UAVs, more than 13 thousand missiles of various types.

    "They never go down to cover during enemy attacks, because their task is to detect an enemy target as quickly as possible and give this information to command posts. And to do this, you need to be, as they say, on top. Having received data on enemy targets, aviation, anti-aircraft Missile Forces, mobile Fire groups enter the battle, and electronic warfare units activate their means. The whole country receives a warning about the danger and the map gradually turns red," the Air Force stressed.

    On September 16, 2010, the order of the minister of defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Yezhel No. 490 was issued, according to which the "day of radio engineering troops of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine"is celebrated on November 30.

    The decision to establish this professional holiday was made taking into account the importance of radio engineering troops of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and in order to maintain the prestige of military service in military units and divisions of this branch of the Armed Forces.

    Radio-Technical troops of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the main source of information about the air situation and are intended for conducting radio-technical reconnaissance of air objects and notifying troops.
