Ukraine captures 23 Russian soldiers in Donetsk Oblast

Ukraine’s Azov Brigade captured 23 Russian troopers throughout fight operations within the Toretsk space of Donetsk Oblast, the Nationwide Guard of Ukraine reported on Jan. 15.

The Nationwide Guard confirmed that the prisoners can be transferred to the related authorities. "We hope they are going to quickly be exchanged for Ukrainian defenders held in captivity," it stated.

On Jan. 15, Ukraine efficiently secured the discharge of 25 people from Russian captivity, together with Azovstal defenders.

The returning Ukrainian POWs had been captured throughout the protection of Mariupol and its Azovstal metal plant, in addition to throughout the protection of different key areas of the entrance line in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts, in accordance with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
