Germany's KNDS Deutschland, a producer of Leopard 2 tanks, has formally launched a three way partnership with a Ukrainian defence firm.

Quote from Smetanin: "I’m happy to announce the official launch of a three way partnership between KMW (KNDS Deutschland) and certainly one of Ukraine's defence corporations".

Particulars: The newly established firm will specialise within the upkeep and restore of army gear equipped by the German firm to the Ukrainian defence forces. The primary samples of this gear appeared in Ukraine in 2022.

Quote from Smetanin: "Ukrainian specialists have already undergone coaching in Germany, and the primary programs have already been put in on the amenities."

Particulars: Smetanin added that the defence forces' gear will now be repaired quicker. The three way partnership may also "present important financial help by way of investments and job creation".

Background: German arms producer Rheinmetall plans to construct at the very least 4 factories in Ukraine to provide ammunition, army autos, gunpowder and air defence programs.
